Meet Chef Marcus Samuelsson at Macy’s

Macy's

On Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 5:30p.m., Macy’s at Metro Center in Washington D.C. will be hosting an interactive foodie event with the one and only Chef Marcus Samuelsson!

You might recognize Chef Samuelsson’s name from Top Chef, maybe you’ve dined at his restaurant Red Rooster in Harlem NYC (New York stand-up!), or maybe this is your first time ever hearing of him! Either way, if you’re free on October 26th and in the Washington D.C. area, than you do not want to miss this event!

Chef Samuelsson, previously one of the youngest chef’s to earn a 3 star review from the New York Times and current member of Macy’s Culinary Council, will be teaching event goers some of his favorite tips and tricks in the kitchen. He’ll also be celebrating and sharing a few of his favorite recipes from his new cookbook, The Red Rooster Cookbook: The Story of Food and Hustle in Harlem. Copies of the book will be provided and signed by Chef Samuelsson, with any home department purchase of $35 or more.

Entertainment will also be provided by a hip-hop style dance group called W.A.F.F.L.E (We Are Family For Life Entertainment) and The Rakiem Walker Project, who will perform a mix of blues, jazz, hip-hop and latin. Honestly, if you’re as much of a foodie as me, than you should be excited as hell right now. Not only will you be learning tricks from a master chef, tasting delicious Harlem-themed food, and enjoying a couple of live performances, but you will be experiencing all of this for FREE!

Yes, this event is free my friends.

All you have to do is RSVP to secure your spot here: marcussamuelssonmacysdc.eventbrite.com

Everyone who RSVPs will receive a $10 Macy’s gift card at the event.

Of course you know I’m going to be in the building and I would LOVE to see you there. Plus, it’s always awesome to meet my readers! Make sure you RSVP and let me know if you’ll be there. See you on October 26th at Macy’s Metro Center 🙂
