Fall may not be my most favorite season weather wise, but it is the perfect season for comfort food. With the weather getting cooler, staying in is becoming the more popular choice. I mean cuffing season has begun, “Netflix and chill” is more likely and with the World Series over, Football Sunday parties are likely to start becoming more prevalent. All of these reasons to stay in, means more eating in and why should you have to spend money ordering soggy delivery when you can make something delicious, not too fatty and overall awesome at home?
So to help all my fellow Fall lovers out, I’ve compiled a list of my 5 favorite easy fall recipes to try this season. They’re easy, delicious, and will likely win you a “GF/BF/Wife/Husband/Bestie Of The Year” Award!
Warning: making any of these recipes might result in you getting stalked for your recipe secret, people might want to kiss the chef, you might go from “Netflix & Chill” to “Will you marry me?” etc. I cannot take responsibility for any of these consequences.
Creamy Confetti Corn with Bacon

I think we all know already that bacon anything is pretty much a win win! However this recipe takes it to a whole new “fireworks on taste buds” level. Modification Tip: Replace the green peppers with avocados and it will add a whole other dimension of sexy creaminess. Full recipe here.
Sausage and Quinoa Stuffed Peppers
Look at that cheesy waterfall! These were packed with flavor and so easy to make. I made a slightly modified version of this recipe here. Instead of brown rice I chose to use some red quinoa (I like color) and used a basil and cheese sausage (extra flavor). Whether you go the original route or use my modifications you wont be disappointed. They are fine on their own or with a side salad (if you’re feeling slightly healthy)
Pomegranate Pear Salad
This was my own little creation. I realized that pomegranates don’t get enough love during the fall so I made this tasty salad one afternoon. Its simple: Use arugula, pear, almonds, pomegranate & feta cheese. Toss with your favorite dressing. That’s it boo! Simple right? And it looks so pretty that people will think you put a lot of thought into it. Feel free to take all of the credit! (Just kidding, show love, tell them to read this! 🙂 )
Sriracha Honey Wings

If you want your guests on Football Sunday this season to feel extra cared for in your home, make these wings. If you want to feel comforted when you find out that Glen actually does die in Walking Dead (sorry) make these wings. Basically these wings are EVERYTHING!!! Read my original post on them here. I haven’t made them since, but to this day I know this was the best wings recipe I’ve tried to date. Full recipe here.
Gnocchi Mac and Cheese

I found this recipe this morning and have been dreaming about it all damn day! Mac and Cheese is a comfort food must, and I’ve never thought about making it with Gnocchi. Imagine the levels of creaminess you are going to get in a bite. No really, close your eyes and think about it! I haven’t tried it yet, but I will say I would probably skip the kale and nutmeg, and add some Gouda instead of Fontina cheese. Can’t wait to try it. Full original recipe here.
