On Monday September 28th, Santera Tequila celebrated their launch at The Box on the lower east side. The venue was sultry and dreamlike and filled with some of NYC’s sexiest. It was a perfect venue to host the event as Santera Tequila itself aims for the surreal.
The event included a fire dancer, flamenco dancers, illusionists, bites from Leyenda and of course specialty cocktails created by Santera Tequila. These included the Santera Margarita, El Incendio (made with grapefruit) and their take on the Manhattan called the Santera Haute Fashion. DJ Regg Ruck also had all in attendance moving and sweating our a**es off! At the conclusion of the event, guests were then sent off with special parting bags filled with Santera Tequila goodies, including a bottle of their El Incendio, made with their Blanco tequila and grapefruit. It was an impressive evening.
With this launch, Santera spotlighted their Blanco (unaged), Reposado (aged up to seven months) and Anejo (aged up to sixteen months) tequilas. All of their tequila is made with 100% Blue Agave grown in red volcanic soil in the northern highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, and it’s distilled and bottled in Tequila, Mexico. What impressed me the most about the brands creation process was their dedication to creating the product using sustainable farming methods that yield a higher quality tequila.
Founder and Creator of Santera Joshua Rudy, says of the brand, “Santera celebrates Mexican culture – one that is famous for looking forward. This tequila is for the man or woman who values discovery and appreciates tradition, but is not defined by it. A Santera drinker must be willing to exit the material and enter the spiritual. He or she must be willing to drink surreal.”
The event left me wanting more. Santera definitely made a lasting impression on me and I look forward to having the next time I’m out in these streets! The taste is smooth and the best part…it didn’t leave me with a hangover in the morning! #allaroundwinning
Santera Tequila will be sold at fine retailers and restaurants across New York including Belle Reve in NYC.
Blanco $41.99 MSRP Reposado $46.99 MSRP Anejo $54.99 MSRP
