I’m not a chef. Duh. But my taste buds are next level, and I can usually whip something up by simply thinking about what I’m in the mood to taste! Does that make sense or nah?
I’m also about semi-homemade/easy/not-alot-of-brain-power type of recipes that I can quickly whip up after a long day of work. So, enter last week: I was craving a cheesy pizza and pesto sauce! Random, I know, but with that simple craving came this most glorious easy make-at-home pizza recipe.
Try it, love it, thank me lata!
Ingredients
- Pizza dough
- 1 pack of crumbled sausage
- 1/4 cup pesto sauce
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 4 oz fresh mozzarella
- Shredded mozzarella to your liking
- Handful of arugula
- Salt
- Pepper
- Oregano
Instructions
- Pour a glass of bubbly
- Heat oven to 425 degrees
- Roll out pizza dough on a greased pan
- Cook crumbled sausage until browned (If you cannot find a package already crumbled, buy sausage links and remove them from the casing, then cook and crumble)
- Spread pesto sauce on pizza dough (don't be afraid to use a lot 🙂 )
- Add fresh mozzarella, then shredded mozzarella, then patches of ricotta cheese
- Season with salt, pepper and oregano to taste
- Add sausage and bake for 20-25 minutes
- *Note: Depending on the type of pesto sauce you get, the pan will get oily, but it will make your crust perfectly crispy and flavorful.
